RouteFlow shows a customer-safe SMS Follow-Up status in onboarding, the dashboard, and Account Settings so you can see whether messaging setup is ready or still needs attention.
When this applies
When you want to understand the SMS Follow-Up status shown in your RouteFlow account.
What the statuses mean
- Not Started — SMS Follow-Up setup has not started yet.
- Activation in Progress — Your messaging setup is being reviewed or completed. No action is required unless RouteFlow specifically asks for additional information.
- Action Required — RouteFlow needs updated business or setup information before SMS activation can continue. Follow the message shown in Account Settings; if a requested item is not editable there, contact RouteFlow Support.
- Active — SMS Follow-Up is active for your account.
- Temporarily Unavailable — SMS Follow-Up is temporarily unavailable. Contact RouteFlow Support if you need assistance.
- Disabled — SMS Follow-Up is disabled for the account.
Voice and SMS are separate
Voice can become technically ready before SMS setup finishes. RouteFlow is fully live only when all required setup, payment, phone, voice and SMS steps are ready. Until then, use Activation in your portal to see the next action or any background work. SMS readiness does not change your saved Voice & Call Coverage settings.
During onboarding
The SMS Verification step collects the business registration, authorized representative, Privacy Policy, and Terms information RouteFlow needs for SMS activation. After onboarding, activation can continue asynchronously and the current status will appear in your portal.
If you still need help
Open Account Settings and follow the customer-facing status message. Contact RouteFlow Support if the status says Action Required and the requested information is not editable in your account, or if SMS Follow-Up is unexpectedly unavailable.
